Showcasing a unique tonewood combination, comfort-focused design elements and premium appointments, this custom cutaway Grand Auditorium is both sonically rewarding and visually stunning. A light shaded edgeburst treatment accentuates the beautiful grain of the solid cocobolo back and sides, which are paired with a sinker redwood top sourced from old-growth logs long-submerged in the rivers of northern California where minerals from silt in the water create the beautiful striping effect and rich coloration. Paired together, cocobolo and sinker redwood serve up a rich, warm voice with clear articulation, exceptional dynamic range and remarkable soft-touch sensitivity. Inside, our patented V-Class bracing boosts volume, lengthens sustain and improves harmonic agreement between notes. Other standout visual details include mother-of-pearl/Hawaiian koa Faceted fretboard and rosette inlays, figured koa body and soundhole binding, and a beveled armrest of figured koa that enhances comfort during extended playing sessions. This custom acoustic-electric also features Gotoh luxury gold tuners, an onboard ES2 pickup and a brown deluxe hardshell case.
