Used 1960's Kay K585 Double Cutaway Hollow Body with Case and Vibrato

Used 1960's Kay K585 Double Cutaway Hollow Body with Case and Vibrato in Very Good Condition. There are a few scratches on the front and back of the guitar, along with some wear/aging; some binding shrinkage has occured on the cutaways. The most noticible damage is on the side near the end pin where there is a large area of finish that wore away showing the wood sides. See photos for details. The original Rosewood bridge has been replaced by a Tune-O-Matic style, along with the original pickups replaced by GFS Gold Foil Single Coil Ferrite Soapbar Pickups in both positions. Though noisey, as with any of this style pickup, this guitar sings like those pawn shop finds of the indie boom. The hard case has a few broken latches, though still funchtions. This guitar weighs 7.27 Pounds (7 Pounds, 4.5 Ounces [3.3 Kilograms]). Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding this guitar!

Double Cutaway with sensitive Vibrato Tailpiece

A truly fine performance proved guitar. The laminated curly maple top and back has a rich brown mahogany shading with golden sunburts, hand-rubbed and polished to a rich, deep lustre. Celluloid-bound edges. Two powerfulprofessional pickups have individual string adjusting posts. Separate tone and volume controls for each pickup and a 3-way selector switch. Swift, smooth "Thin-Lite" neck with adjustable truss rod; oval rosewood fingerboard with 6 hand-inlaid pearlette position marker blocks and silver frets; expandable guitar cord; adjustable rosewood bridge; professional electric guitar strings. The new Vibrato Tailpiece adds all of today's wanted modern music sound effects. Auditorium size guitar is 40 1/4" long, 15" wide.
